The staff at our BROWNIE'S INDEPENDENT TRANSMISSION SHOPS service and repair center are all highly trained and certified technicians with one common goal in mind - quality service at honest prices. Our transmission center is diligent in applying the ATRA Member Code of Ethics to all of our transmission repair and diagnostic services for the purpose of better assisting our customers with their repair needs and concerns. Adherence to the ATRA Code of Ethics also helps ensure that when you bring in your vehicle for transmission service or repair you know that you are receiving honest and professional service from our technical staff. Our transmission technicians are always polite and courteous in their effort to provide you with the quality of service you want and deserve.

Bob Lowry - Transmission Shop President/Owner

Bob Lowry has owned and operated the Brownie's Independent Transmission Shops since July, 1981. Bob, who is a graduate mechanical engineer and has an MBA, takes pride in his customer driven organization. "Quality service at a fair price" and "treat people the way you want to be treated" is his philosophy. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the industry. Bob's managers and technicians are always receiving updated training and have the necessary tools/equipment, manuals, and computer software to determine exactly what the problem is and how to repair it in the most economical way. Bob believes in Dayton, Ohio! He and his family work with many local organizations and charities trying to bring more jobs into the greater Dayton area.

Jeff Carter - Transmission Shop General Manager

Jeff Carter, General Manager, has worked with Brownie's Independent Transmission Shops for over 24 years. Jeff, who has taken numerous Business Management courses at Sinclair Community College, is a "master technician" in all aspects of the transmission industry. With over 31 years experience, Jeff has worked his way up from installer to a builder to a manager to become the General Manager. He can diagnose and rebuild any transmission built by any vehicle manufacturer. Jeff attends seminars and takes classes from leading industry experts on a regular basis to assure that he is keeping up with the latest technology. Jeff, as well as our Shop Managers and transmission builders, are familiar with the mechanical aspects of your car and take the time to explain to you any repairs that are necessary before you authorize them. All of our builders as ASE certified technicians.
